Like the mighty Roman Empire, our winning streak has finally been toppled.

That’s fine. We shall rebuild after a .500 outing last week.

Tonight, a new winning streak begins!

    Three-Pointers

Timberwolves -2 (-110): This is just a bad spot for the 76ers. This is the second game of a back-to-back on the road, and they now face a T-Wolves team that’s riding a three-game winning streak. This will be Philly’s third game in four days and Joel Embiid has played 35+ minutes in all three. This will be a tired, worn-down 76ers team that’s already struggling mightily defensively (Philly is currently holding the WORST defense in the league over the last five games). Plus, Minny has the sixth-best shooting offense in the league over the last five games. Let’s take the Timberwolves as a short favorite tonight.

Jevon Carter Over 20.5 Points/Rebounds/Assists (-110): With Giannis and Jrue Holiday out, it’s Jevon’s time to shine. With both those guys not playing, Carter’s usage goes up a staggering 7%, and he sees both his points and rebounds increase. In the last four games with Giannis out, Carter has gotten close to over 20 PRA every time with just points and rebounds alone. Against a 17th-ranked defense in Orlando, there should be plenty of opportunities for Carter to score and get the ball to teammates in his increased role.
