2015 Auburn Tigers Schedule Predictions: Game-By-Game Forecast

The Auburn Tigers enter the 2015 season just like they did in 2014: with
sights on an SEC and national championship. The back end of last year’s schedule
caught up with the Tigers, losing four of their last five after a 7-1 start.

The schedule is tough again, but with an explosive offense
and revamped defense, now under the direction of Will Muschamp, the Tigers hope to put last year’s struggles behind them and finish strong.

Without further ado, below are the Auburn Tigers schedule predictions for 2015.

Auburn Tigers Schedule Predictions

Game 1 – Louisville vs. Auburn

  • Saturday, September 5, 2015
  • Georgia Dome – Atlanta, GA

The Tigers open with a “neutral-site” game against Bobby
Petrino’s Cardinals. Louisville enters the season with questions at
quarterback, but brings a top defense mostly intact from last year. Auburn
quarterback Jeremy Johnson will take over the reigns from Nick Marshall, and
should not miss a beat. The return of defensive lineman Carl Lawson will boost
the pressure up front, and with a largely home crowd behind them, expect the
Tigers to put the Cardinals away in the second half.

Prediction: Auburn 38 – Louisville 21

Game 2 – Jacksonville State at Auburn

  • Saturday, September 12, 2015
  • Jordan-Hare Stadium – Auburn, AL

The Gamecocks from nearby Jacksonville, Alabama will give the Tigers a chance to fine tune what didn’t work in the Louisville game. Expect to see a lot of second string quarterback Sean White
and other backup players who need experience. This game is an easy breather before the gruesome SEC schedule starts.

Prediction: Auburn 56 – Jacksonville State 10

Game 3 – Auburn at LSU

  • Saturday, September 19, 2015
  • Tiger Stadium – Baton Rouge, LA

The Bayou Bengals are almost unbeatable in night games at home, so
the 2:30 p.m. local start time helps Auburn. Auburn destroyed LSU last year, 41-7, and Les Miles does not have a short memory. If LSU can fix its quarterback
situation, and Leonard Fournette can find a rhythm, this game is a toss up. Otherwise, Auburn wins a close one in Red
Stick.

Prediction: Auburn 31 – LSU 24

Game 4 – Mississippi State at Auburn

  • Saturday, September 26, 2015
  • Jordan-Hare Stadium – Auburn, AL

In a matchup of No. 2 Auburn vs. No. 3 Mississippi State
last year in Starkville, the Tigers could never recover from an early 21-0 deficit in the first quarter. Bulldogs quarterback Dak Prescott is one of the
best in college football, and a battle between him and Jeremy Johnson could
turn this into a shootout. Mississippi State lost three starters from its stout defensive front, as well as defensive coordinator Geoff Collins, who is now at Florida. Johnson could pose more of a problem than the Bulldogs can handle.

Prediction: Auburn 42 – Mississippi State 28

Game 5 – San Jose State at Auburn

  • Saturday, October 3, 2015
  • Jordan-Hare Stadium – Auburn, AL

The San Jose State Spartans could find the Tigers napping a
little bit in the first half after the battles against LSU and Mississippi
State, but this is still San Jose State playing Auburn. The Spartans offense was brutal last year, but new offensive coordinator Al Borges – you’ve probably heard of him before – hopes to right the ship. At the end of the day, the Tigers should take advantage of
a bad San Jose State run defense in a laugher.

Prediction: Auburn 63 – San Jose State 7

Game 6 – Auburn at Kentucky

  • Thursday, October 15, 2015
  • Commonwealth Stadium – Lexington, KY

Sure, it is Kentucky, but strange things happen on Thursday
nights in college football. Let’s also not forget that the Wildcats gave Auburn a scare in 2010. Mark Stoops is entering his third year in Lexington
and is building something. If either Patrick Towles or Drew Barker can solidify
their position as the main quarterback, they could make this interesting.
Kentucky returns four starters on a deep offensive line, so reaching the quarterback could be troublesome. However, if this Auburn team is as good as we
think, the Tigers win easily.

Prediction: Auburn 48 – Kentucky 24

Game 7 – Auburn at Arkansas

  • Saturday, October 24, 2015
  • Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium – Fayetteville, AR

Coach Bret Bielema is in his third year, has his players in place, and the Razorbacks are coming off a roll to end the 2014 season. The offense took a hit with Jonathan Williams’ season-ending injury, but Alex Collins is more than capable of giving Auburn problems. Behind a raucous home crowd, the Hogs pull off the upset.

Prediction: Arkansas 28 – Auburn 24

Game 8 – Ole Miss at Auburn

  • Saturday, October 31, 2015
  • Jordan-Hare Stadium – Auburn, AL

A rematch of last year’s classic, the Rebels will be looking
for revenge. Gone is Bo Wallace, but junior college transfer Chad Kelly should
be a solid replacement at quarterback, especially with all five offensive line
starters returning. The Rebels defense is led by All-American Robert Nkemdiche
and will clog the running lanes. For the Tigers to win, the passing game
must be on target.

Prediction: Auburn 38 – Ole Miss 28

Game 9 – Auburn at Texas A&M

  • Saturday, November 7, 2015
  • Kyle Field – College Station, TX

Quarterback Kyle Allen ended last season on a roll and
should be just as good in his sophomore season. After seeing the Texas A&M defense
struggle the past few years, head coach Kevin Sumlin brought in John Chavis
from LSU to plug up the holes. In the first three games between these
teams since the Aggies joined the SEC, the away team has won. That trend
continues.

Prediction: Auburn 35 – Texas A&M 31

Game 10 – Georgia at Auburn

  • Saturday, November 14, 2015
  • Jordan-Hare Stadium – Auburn, AL

The Bulldogs ran all over Auburn last year in a 34-7 win in
Athens. The bad news for Auburn? Georgia might be even better this year. Superstar-in-the-making running back Nick Chubb returns along with one of the top SEC defenses. You
never know what will happen in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry – take a look at
the “Prayer at Jordan-Hare” or the four-overtime game in 1996.

Prediction: Auburn 31 – Georgia 30

Game 11 – Idaho at Auburn

  • Saturday, November 21, 2015
  • Jordan-Hare Stadium – Auburn, AL

If the Georgia and Alabama games represent Amen Corner, then
consider this a mini-golf hole. Coming off a tough stretch and with the familiar team
from Tuscaloosa coming in next, the Tigers might be sluggish, but will win
easily.

Prediction: Auburn 52 – Idaho 17

Game 12 – Alabama at Auburn

  • Saturday, November 28, 2015
  • Jordan-Hare Stadium – Auburn, AL

How can these two teams match what happened two years ago? They
can’t. Still, it is the Iron Bowl and both could be in SEC and national title contention. Alabama must find a replacement for
quarterback Blake Sims and wide receiver Amari Cooper, but this is Alabama and
the Tide reloads quickly. The Tigers will look to take advantage of a spotty Tide
secondary and bring bragging rights back to the Plains.

Prediction: Auburn 31 – Alabama 27
