4-Star OG Aaron Banks Reveals Commitment Details, Top 7 Schools

Four-star offensive guard Aaron Banks revealed his top seven schools along with the details for his upcoming college commitment.

The nation’s No. 7 offensive guard is nearing the end of his recruitment.

On Thursday, 4-star recruit Aaron Banks revealed the details of when he’ll make his college commitment, as well as the schools that are still in the running.

The No. 150 overall player in the 2017 recruiting class will be announcing at El Cerrito Senior High School on Friday, Dec. 9, at 12 p.m. PT. He’ll be making a decision between Cal, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee and UCLA.

Banks officially visited Ann Arbor this past weekend, and also spent an official visit at Notre Dame on Sept. 17 for the Fighting Irish’s loss to Michigan State, 36-28.

That followed a visit to Eugene for the Ducks’ 44-26 win over Virginia on Sept. 10. Don’t expect Oregon to be the hat Banks wears when he announces his decision, though. It’s highly unlikely Willie Taggart has had enough time to solidify a commitment from Banks.

The 6-foot-7, 344-pound offensive lineman appears to be headed for either Ann Arbor or South Bend when he does go public with his announcement.

The Fighting Irish have pledges from 4-star offensive tackle Josh Lugg and 4-star offensive guard Dillan Gibbons. Banks’ commitment would push Notre Dame up from No. 8 to No. 7 in the 2017 recruiting class rankings, passing the Volunteers in the process.

On the other hand, the Wolverines have commitments from 4-star offensive tackle Kai-Leon Herbert, 4-star offensive tackle JaRaymond Hall, 4-star offensive tackle Andrew Stueber and 3-star offensive tackle Joel Honigford and 3-star. A pledge from Banks would slide Michigan up from No. 6 to No. 5, past Texas A&M.
