ACC Football Rankings – Week 6

ACC football rankings heading into Week 6 of the 2016 season. Clemson tops Louisville in a fantastic finished to claim the top spot.

It was billed as the Game of the Week, and it lived up to the hype.

Clemson let a big lead slip away as Lamar Jackson brought Louisville back, but it was the Tigers who came out on top with a 42-36 victory and now sit atop our ACC rankings. The Cardinals suffered their first loss of the season, but they still should be considered one of the best teams in the country despite the close defeat.

Here’s a look at the rest of the ACC after five weeks.

5. FSU

The Seminoles have gone from College Football Playoff contenders to major disappointments.

4. North Carolina

Tar Heels looked down and out before Nick Weiler’s 54-yard field goal as time expired to pick up a huge win at FSU.

3. Miami

The Hurricanes are 4-0 heading into a matchup with what likely will be an angry Florida State team.

2. Louisville

This close loss shouldn’t hurt the Cardinals much when it comes to the College Football Playoff picture if they can run the table.

1. Clemson

The Tigers haven’t always looked impressive this season, but they did when it mattered most.
