5-Star ILB Anthony Hines Reveals Commitment Details

Five-star inside linebacker Anthony Hines has revealed the details behind his upcoming college commitment.

Let the clock start now.

Five-star prospect Anthony Hines is on the brink of making his college commitment, and on Sunday he revealed the details of when he’ll be announcing the decision.

On Dec. 2 at 12 p.m. CT at Plano East Senior High School, Hines will inform his friends, family and the media where he intends to play college football. Along with the details of when he’ll be committing, Hines also revealed the final six teams left in the running for his pledge.

In alphabetical order, Hines’ top six teams are Florida, Ohio State, Penn State, TCU, Texas A&M and UCLA.

Hines, who’s ranked as the No. 1 inside linebacker and No. 19 overall player in the 2017 recruiting class, took his most recent official visit to Columbus on Nov. 5 for the Buckeyes’ 62-3 win over Nebraska.

Two weeks before that trip to Ohio State, the 5-star linebacker visited UCLA for the Bruins’ 52-45 loss to Utah. He also spent one of his official visits in Gainesville on Oct. 15 when the Florida Gators took care of the Missouri Tigers in The Swamp, 40-14.

The first two of Hines’ official visits came on Sept. 2 and Sept. 16 when he took trips to Texas A&M and Penn State, respectively. The time he spent in College Station was on the eve of the Aggies’ 31-24 season-opening win over UCLA at Kyle Field. And the trip to Happy Valley was for the Nittany Lions’ 34-27 win over Temple.

He was also in Fort Worth this past weekend for the Horned Frogs’ 31-6 loss to Oklahoma State.
