Big Ten football standings for Week 10 of the season. Michigan found revenge against in-state rival Michigan State, as the Wolverines still lead the East division.
After last season’s botched punt debacle, Michigan sought revenge against rival Michigan State, and the Wolverines got it. Michigan took down the Spartans, 32-23, behind yet another Jabrill Peppers Heisman moment. The Wolverine still lead the Big Ten East thanks to 24 rushing yards and a touchdown from Peppers. He also supplied seven total tackles, four of which were solo tackles, and a sack.
Meanwhile, a different Michigan rival was trying to bounce back this week. After falling to Penn State, Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes took on Northwestern, and Ohio State beat the Wildcats, 24-20, to stay in second place behind the Wolverines.
D.J. Durkin’s Terrapins fell to Indiana, 42-36, but are still ahead of the Hoosiers in the standings. However, Penn State remains in third place after it beat up on Purdue, 62-24, who is in sixth place in the West.
As for the Big Ten West, Nebraska is still on top despite its 23-17 loss to Wisconsin on Saturday. The Badgers, however, are now in second place behind the Cornhuskers. And Minnesota topped Illinois, 40-17. The Golden Gophers sit in third place, and the Fighting Illini are in last.
