Brady Scott Commits To Florida State Seminoles

Three-star offensive tackle Brady Scott committed to the Florida State Seminoles on Tuesday.

Jimbo Fisher’s Seminoles are coming off of a huge 20-19 victory over rival Miami last weekend, and now their 2017 recruiting class has another commit — not a bad way to get the week going in Tallahassee.

Three-star recruit Brady Scott, from Marietta, Georgia, committed to Florida State on Tuesday night. The nation’s No. 114 offensive tackle and the No. 8 offensive tackle in the state of Georgia released a statement regarding his pledge to FSU.

“First of all, I would like to thank all of the coaches that have taught me how to play this game, my family, and my friends! I would also like to thank all of the colleges who have showed interest in me. I am blessed to say that I will be committing to Florida State University to further my career in football and [my] education.”

The addition of  Scott gives the Seminoles’ class 14 total commits. Florida State, however, did not move up from their No. 12 spot in the 2017 recruiting class rankings.

Brady’s decision to commit to FSU came three days after he took an unofficial visit to Mississippi State to see the Bulldogs lose to Auburn, 38-14. Five days before that visit, Scott named the Seminoles as his leader. That proclamation followed an unofficial visit to Tallahassee where he watched FSU fall to North Carolina, 37-35, on a game-winning kick by the Tar Heels.

At 6-foot-6, 257 lbs Scott was once a baseball commit for the South Carolina Gamecocks; he has now decided to see how far he could go on the gridiron. He is also the first offensive line commit for Fisher’s staff in the cycle.
