Bri’onte Dunn Dismissed From Ohio State Buckeyes, Urban Meyer Issues Statement

Bri’onte Dunn was dismissed from the Ohio State Buckeyes football program on Monday night.

Ohio State running back Bri’onte Dunn has been dismissed from the program. Head football coach Urban Meyer released a statement on Monday evening confirming the news that Dunn was no longer with the Buckeyes due to violating team rules.

“Bri’onte Dunn has been dismissed from the Ohio State football program for a violation of team rules,” Meyer said.

Jordan Strack with WTOL in Toledo has reported Dunn’s “violation of team rules” involved an altercation with a female. Court records show a civil protection was filed against Dunn on Monday. As of post there has been no further comment from Ohio State.

A 5-star back out of Canton, Ohio in the 2011 class, Dunn failed to live up to his potential in Columbus.

In three years with the Buckeyes, he rushed 49 times for 291 yards and three touchdowns.
