Christian McCaffrey 40-Yard Dash Time At NFL Combine

Christian McCaffrey 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine, as the former Stanford Cardinal running back looks to increase his draft stock.

Things can only go up for Christian McCaffrey at the NFL Combine. On Thursday, McCaffrey put up only 10 reps during the bench press, not exactly a good start for the former Stanford Cardinal running back.

He made up for it in the 40-yard dash though, showing off his speed by recording an unofficial 40-yard dash time of 4.49.

McCaffrey burst onto the scene in 2015 with a sophomore season that saw him do everything but play defense for the Cardinal: 2,019 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, 645 receiving yards and five touchdowns, and two kick returns (one punt, one kickoff) for touchdowns. Oh, and he also threw two touchdown passes for good measure.

It was more of the same last season, as he gashed through Pac-12 defenses, rushing for 1,603 yards and 13 touchdowns while catching 37 passes for 310 yards and three scores.

Prior to the Cardinal’s bowl game against North Carolina, McCaffrey made the personal decision to sit out the game and start preparing for the NFL Draft as an injury earlier in the season was still lingering.

Whichever NFL team drafts McCaffrey will get a versatile back that can do it all.
