College football season is getting closer by the day and Monday marked the release of the 2019 preseason AP Top 25 poll. To no one’s surprise, Clemson and Alabama claimed the top two spots.

There are some familiar faces atop the 2019 preseason AP poll. The top five teams – Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Ohio State – have each made the College Football Playoff at least once.
They’ve combined for 15 of the 20 total playoff berths.
Missouri led “Others receiving votes” category with 117 votes (24 fewer than Stanford), followed by Army, Mississippi State, Miami (FL), Northwestern, TCU, Virginia, Boise State, Cincinnati and South Carolina among the next 10 teams.
