College Baseball Rankings: Baseball America Top 25, April 11

College baseball rankings for April 11 have been released. There’s a new No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25.

For the third straight week there’s been a change at the top of the college baseball rankings. After posting a 2-0 record and watching Florida drop a series to Mississippi State, the Miami Hurricanes grabbed ahold of the No. 1 ranking in the Baseball America Top 25. The Hurricanes lead the top 25 for fewest losses on the year with just four, two of which came against the aforementioned Gators.

With its 2-1 road series win over Florida, Mississippi State jumped from No. 5 to No. 2. The Bulldogs dropped the first game, but bounced back to take the final two.

The Gators fell to No. 3, marking the second time they’ve relinquished the top spot in the college baseball rankings this year. Florida’s series loss to Mississippi State was its second of the year, the other coming against Kentucky on the road.

Texas A&M, which held the No. 1 ranking two weeks ago, fell from No. 3 to No. 4.

South Carolina climbed into the top five after posting a perfect, 4-0 record last week.

Ole Miss and LSU jumped into the top 10, at No. 8 and No. 9, respectively, giving the SEC six teams in the top 10. The conference boasts eight of the top 25 teams, No. 12 Vanderbilt and No. 16 Kentucky being the other two.

Oklahoma State (16, previous ranking), Clemson (21), East Carolina (22) and Houston (24) fell out of the rankings. They were replaced by No. 20 NC State, No. 23 South Alabama, No. 24 Tulane and No. 25 Southern Miss.
