College Football News Roundup – October 19

A college football news roundup that includes Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey might be out again and Arizona State head coach Todd Graham responds to stealing signs allegation.

I live on W. Lake Street here in Chicago. As I am currently on crutches. I have to take an Uber or taxi to work. Each morning when I try Uber, the app tells the driver to pick me up on Wells Street, around the corner from my apartment. Now, I know that it is a weird thing that an address on W. Lake Street would be located on W. Lake Street, but it is true. Get your stuff together, Uber.

Meanwhile, in more important things, Campus Insiders discussed whether or not Brian Kelly is on the hot seat at Notre Dame, and Tennessee running back Alvin Kamara is out with an injury. And who is the best two-loss team in college football right now. Here are some other newsworthy notes in the latest college football news roundup.

McCaffrey Out Again? – Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey has been out since the first half in the loss against Washington State, and there is a chance that he will miss another game this Saturday against Colorado.

“We’ll get him on the field to do some things today but probably won’t get him a chance to practice, if he can practice, until maybe a little bit tomorrow if he feels good today,” head coach David Shaw said. ”If not, then we’ll do like last week and see if he can go on Friday.”

He’s Earned It – With bigger schools clamoring to offer him a lot of money to come coach its team, University of Houston officials are discussing giving head coach Tom Herman another extension that would be “reasonable.” Good luck beating out the other schools with loads of money to throw around.

Graham Responds – After Washington State head coach Mike Leach accused his team of stealing signs, Arizona State head coach Todd Graham called the allegations “ridiculous.”

“How we do things here, we take a great deal of pride and we do everything — make this perfectly clear — we do everything exactly by the rules. Period.” Graham said. “And obviously we take a great deal of pride in the integrity our program has and obviously I’m not going to get involved in things like that that are ridiculous.”

Todd Graham speaking on integrity? Now I have heard anything.
