Donovan Peoples-Jones Sets Commitment Date, Will Announce On TV

Five-star wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones is on the verge of making one program extremely happy this holiday season.

One of the nation’s most-coveted offensive recruits is ready to tie a bow on his recruitment. On Thursday night five-star wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones will make it official when he announces his commitment. Peoples-Jones will unveil his college of choice with ESPNU.

The Cass Technical High School (Detroit, Michigan) prospect is ranked as the No. 4 wide receiver and No. 32 overall player in the country. He’s listed at 6’2.5″ and 190 pounds, and has been clocked in the 40-yard dash at a blazing 4.42 seconds.

In late October, he unveiled the final five schools in consideration: Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State.

He used official visits during the season to check out, in order, Nebraska, Ohio State, Florida, Florida State and Michigan. The Cornhuskers did not make the cut. Peoples-Jones took an unofficial visit to Michigan State in mid-October.

He used his fifth and final official visit on Dec. 10 to see Michigan, and also took an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor in September.

The popular belief is that Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines are in the driver’s seat to land his commitment. Peoples-Jones would be the perfect weapon to pair with incoming four-star quarterback Dylan McCaffrey in Michigan’s 2017 recruiting class.
