Dylan Moses Commits To Alabama Crimson Tide

Five-star recruit Dylan Moses committed to Alabama Crimson Tide on Sunday.

Well, when you know, you just know.

After visiting Tuscaloosa for the Crimson Tide’s 34-6 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats, 5-star recruit Dylan Moses committed to Alabama on Sunday.

He released a statement regarding his decision.

“After talking to my parents, I’ve decided to shut my recruitment down. I will not be taking any more visits. I want to thank every coach that offered me and took interest in me as a player [and] person. I have decided to commit to the University of Alabama.”

Moses, the No. 1 outside linebacker and No. 6 overall player in the 2017 class, was originally committed to LSU, his hometown team, but he backed off his pledge last year before transferring to the IMG Academy in January.

It seemed as though Moses was leaning toward re-joining the Tigers’ class, but after LSU fired Les Miles, Moses’ recruitment took a turn.

The 5-star linebacker was scheduled to announce his decision in December but pushed it back to Jan. 1 following Miles’ departure from LSU.

The addition of Moses puts the Tide within 108 recruiting points of No. 1-ranked Ohio State. Alabama has 21 total commits.

What’s scary to think about is how the Tide continues to roll and how it will keep rolling for years to come.

It already had commitments from 5-star recruit VanDarius Cowan, the nation’s No. 3 outside linebacker, and 4-star prospect Markail Benton, the No. 6 inside linebacker in the class.

This future linebacking core for Alabama has the potential to be lethal. If all three pan out, we’ll be talking about them as first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.

But, as many recruits will tell you — and as Moses tweeted earlier — savages want to play with savages.
