Florida Orange & Blue Debut Broadcast Info, Main Storyline, Player To Watch

Florida’s annual Orange & Blue Debut spring game takes place on Friday, April 7. Here is a main storyline and player to watch out for as the Gators take the field.

For the Florida Gators, the goal of spring practice was clear: find rhythm on offense and have one of the quarterbacks battling for the starting position start to distance himself from the competition.

It seems that Feleipe Franks has done that so far, as he has earned positive praise from his coaches and teammates while rising above Kyle Trask in the race. A positive showing in the annual Orange & Blue Debut on Friday night would go a long way in showing Gators fans that there is light at the end of the tunnel with the offense.

Here are some other things to watch, including the main storyline, as the Gators take the field.

Main Storyline

You mean besides the offense? Well, that would be the play of the linebackers. Someone is going to have to fill the roles left by Jarrad Davis and Alex Anzalone; two guys that were experienced and excellent at the second level. A pair of players that could impress in the spring game are Vosean Joseph and Kylan Johnson, who will look to carry on the tradition of strong linebacker play for the Gators.

Player To Watch

QB Feleipe Franks It is simply Franks turn to shine, and anything but an impressive outing will leave Gators’ fans disappointed. Florida will go only as far as its offense takes it, as the defense is already mostly in place. Time to step up, young man.
