Foster Farms Bowl Prediction Roundtable – What’s Going To Happen

Foster Farms Bowl prediction roundtable with the Campus Insiders staff. Breaking down what will happen between Indiana and Utah.

Jeff Bartl

Kevin Wilson’s sudden departure threw a wrinkle into bowl preparation, but this is Tom Allen’s dream job and he goes into his first game as head coach knowing he’ll be at the helm next year. Will that matter? Probably not. Utah is still the more talented team, and I don’t see this one being very competitive. Utes win by a few touchdowns.

Robert Judin

Utah is winning this football game. The Utes have a more stable coaching situation, and I believe Joe Williams will run all over the Hoosiers here. He’s had an unbelievable season, and he’ll go well over the 100-yard mark. Williams will also find his way into the end zone at least twice for Utah. Troy Williams won’t have to do too much from the pocket simply because of the running game. The Utes will win easily.

Dave Miller

New Indiana head coach Tom Allen will have had about a month to adjust to his new role and create a game plan for this tilt against the Utes by the time the ball is kicked off in Santa Clara. Since he has been on the staff, that will be less of an issue than trying to contain Utes running back Joe Williams, who is adept at breaking tackles and gaining extra yardage. Utes quarterback Troy Williams will protect the football, and I can’t see how the Hoosiers will be able to contain Joe Williams for four quarters. Add in the fact that IU signal-caller Richard Lagow is prone to mistakes (16 interceptions this season), and it will be a tough debut for Allen as the Utes win.

Brian Stultz

This one might be over by halftime. Indiana is clearly outmatched by the Utes, and Utah running back Joe Williams will have a field day against the Hoosiers defense. More importantly, will Kyle Whittingham’s wife document their trip to San Francisco on her blog? The public wants to know.
