Georgia vs. Georgia Tech Prediction Roundtable – What’s Going To Happen

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech prediction roundtable with the Campus Insiders staff. Breaking down what will happen between the Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets.

Jeff Bartl

To think one of these teams has a chance to win eight games is just shocking to me. I don’t know why, but I’m going to take Georgia Tech to win this one. I think it’s just because the SEC East is a paper tiger of a division. Yeah, that’s the reason.

Jonathan Bass

Both teams are 7-4. It doesn’t feel like it, does it? This is one of those rivalry games where the records hardly ever matter – it feels like something unexpected always happens. Give me the Yellow Jackets in an upset Between the Hedges, as the triple option does enough to befuddle UGA’s defense. Should things play out that way, will there still be heat on Paul Johnson in Atlanta? There shouldn’t be.

Also: Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate is the best rivalry name in all of sports.

Dave Miller

This should be a competitive game, as Kirby Smart will experience his first clash with the Yellow Jackets as the Bulldogs head coach. Keep an eye on Nick Chubb, who could be playing his last game at Sanford Stadium. GT is allowing 166.1 rushing yards per game, so he could have a big day. Meanwhile, Jacob Eason will finish his true freshman season with a nice effort as the Bulldogs survive the GT option attack and get the home win.

Brian Stultz

Atlanta has never been the same since Dante’s Down The Hatch closed its doors. That was a great place to eat in Buckhead. The live alligators underneath the pirate ship really made it.

Anyway, Georgia will win this game in a close one as Jacob Eason throws a winning touchdown and builds upon his reputation.
