Jabrill Peppers and Jake Butt reacted with great maturity to the Michigan Wolverines missing the College Football Playoff.
Michigan is on the outside looking in at the College Football Playoff, finishing No. 6 in the final CFP rankings.
While the Wolverines are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the country, they simply didn’t do enough during the regular season in comparison to the teams that did receive a berth in the Playoff. The players understand as much and have taken the decision from the committee with class.
Star do-it-all man Jabrill Peppers and tight end Jake Butt took to social media following the announcement.
Peppers reaction was simple: we didn’t take care of business.
We take care of business, we're in. We don't, we're not..& we didn't. Can't knock the teams that did.

And while Butt believes Michigan is one of the best teams in the country, he is of the same mindset as Peppers – the Wolverines should have handled their own business.
Are we a top 4 team? I believe so, but we put our fate in the hands of other teams. Gotta give credit where it's due to those 4

That being said I'm excited to play my final game against a great FSU team in Miami!

Freshman linebacker Devin Bush Jr also shared the same sentiment.
Michigan will now turn its attention to the Orange Bowl against Florida State in Miami, one of the better matchups this postseason. It’s going to be fun to watch the Wolverines defensive front try to stop Seminoles running back Dalvin Cook. From the sound of it, this Wolverines bunch won’t suffer from any lack of effort or enthusiasm despite missing the Playoff.
