4-Star WR Jerry Jeudy Reaffirms Commitment To Alabama Crimson Tide

Four-star wide receiver Jerry Jeudy reaffirmed his commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide, as Nick Saban’s team remains No. 1 in the 2017 recruiting class rankings.

It’s been an eventful couple of days for the Crimson Tide.

Late Sunday night, 5-star outside linebacker Dylan Moses put an end to his longstanding recruitment and faxed in his financial aid papers to Alabama. He’s expected to be on campus in Tuscaloosa following the Under Armour All-America Game on Jan. 1.

Less than 24 hours later, 5-star offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood made it clear that he, too, would be sticking to his pledge to the Tide.

And on Monday night, after rocking the boat with some eyebrow-raising tweets earlier in the day, 4-star prospect Jerry Jeudy reaffirmed his commitment to Alabama — despite the news Lane Kiffin would be leaving to become the new head coach at FAU.

Jeudy, the nation’s No. 9 wide receiver and No. 65 overall player, committed to the Tide in late July. Both Florida and Miami continued to pursue him, but, at the end of the day, he decided to follow his heart. Jeudy released a statement explaining his decision.

“I’d like to thank every college program that gave me the opportunity to attend their school. I especially [would] like to thank Miami for never giving up on me. I love their coaching staff and the players. This was one of the hardest decisions of my life. After speaking with my mom and coaches, I prayed that I [would] choose the right school. But Im shutting down my recruitment and following my heart, and that is to attend the University of Alabama.”

Alabama has 24 total commits and is 470 points ahead of No. 2 Ohio State in the 2017 recruiting class rankings.
