Louisville vs. Duke prediction roundtable with the Campus Insiders staff. Breaking down what will happen in the game between the Cardinals and Blue Devils.
Duke is 3-3, but those three victories came against NC Central, a fraudulent Notre Dame team and an Army program that is steadily approaching the one-month mark since its last victory. Not exactly the shiniest of resumes. Meanwhile, Louisville just had its guts ripped out against Clemson. David Cutcliffe was effusive in his praise of Lamar Jackson earlier this week; he knows what’s about to happen. If there’s any bright spot for the Blue Devils, it’s that the ACC decided to bury this game on a Friday night. Only drunks and degenerates will be at home to watch them get waxed by the Cards.
Lamar Jackson probably spent that entire bye week staring down the Duke game on his calendar. He’s mad as hell after losing to Clemson, and he’s going to take it out on the Blue Devils. Jackson will rush for two touchdowns and throw for three more in an easy win for Louisville.
Welcome back to the Lamar Jackson Show. Louisville scores early, often and A LOT. Duke ranks fairly high in total defense at No. 26 in the nation, giving up 345.2 yards per game, but that was against North Carolina Central, Wake Forest, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Virginia and Army. That number will drop considerably after this week due to Jackson. This one won’t be close; Louisville wins.
Pitino vs. Coach K, baby! Dipsy doo, dunkaroo! This is also a great football matchup, as Lamar Jackson is by far the most exciting player in college football this season and the Blue Devils’ defense isn’t too shabby. The Cardinals are coming off a bye week after the close loss to Clemson, so I expect them to be ready to absolutely torch Cutcliffe’s squad. You know Petrino would love to run up the score.
