Four-Star DE Markaviest Bryant Names Leader, Other Schools In Mix

Four-star defensive end Markaviest Bryant named a leader, as well as the other schools in the mix, while at the Under Armour All-America Game in Orlando.

Four schools are in the running for Cordele, Georgia prospect Markaviest Bryant. Bryant, who’s partaking in the Under Armour All-America Game festivities this week in Orlando, Florida.

“My top four schools right now are Georgia, Auburn, LSU and Alabama,” Bryant told Gridiron Now.

That being said, it appears to be a two-horse race between rivals Georgia and Auburn.

“Georgia is one, Auburn is two,” Bryant said in an interview with SB Nation. “Alabama is still in the picture, but it’s real tough. I really feel at home more at Auburn and Georgia.”

Georgia and Auburn have received several visits from Bryant, however he didn’t use any official visits (OVs) during the season. Bryant did use an OV for the Crimson Tide a week after the SEC Championship Game. LSU has yet to receive any visit from him, but that will change in January.

“I’m visiting Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas and LSU in January.”

Bryant also received a visit from Florida State assistant Charles Kelly earlier in December, however the Seminoles are on the outside looking in.

Bryant is listed at 6-foot-6 and 226 pounds, and is ranked as the nation’s No. 166 overall prospect and No. 14 defensive end. He is long, athletic and has a ton of speed, but will need to improve his strength and technique at the next level.
