Michigan Football Recruiting Update – December 11, 2016

Michigan football recruiting update as of December 11, 2016. Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines have a few commits on the way for the 2017 recruiting class.

We knew going into this weekend that Jim Harbaugh and his staff were going to make a huge push for the No. 1 player in the country, and it sounds as though the Wolverines hit a home run.

Five-star prospect Najee Harris, the No. 1 running back in the 2017 recruiting class, took an official visit to Ann Arbor this past weekend. The word is that Harris’ visit went great, and a lot of people believe Michigan will flip him from the Alabama Crimson Tide.

However, if Harbaugh’s staff can’t flip Harris, they at least have some other big-time commits on the way.

Both 5-star wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones and 4-star wide receiver Nico Collins are likely going to commit to Michigan within the next month and a half. And the Wolverines are in a great position to land 4-star wide receiver Tarik Black, too. It’s likely they’ll land all three. But the first two appear closer to picking Michigan than Black is at the moment.

With Harris in Ann Arbor this weekend were Peoples-Jones, 4-star safety Jaylen Kelly-Powell, 4-star cornerback Ambry Thomas, 4-star quarterback Dylan McCaffrey and many other current Michigan commits.

Here are other recruits the Wolverines are in a prime position to land: 4-star center Cesar Ruiz, 4-star outside linebacker Jordan Anthony, 4-star offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson and 4-star outside linebacker Willie Gay.
