Nebraska vs. Iowa Prediction Roundtable – What’s Going To Happen

Nebraska vs. Iowa prediction roundtable with the Campus Insiders staff. Breaking down what will happen between the Cornhuskers and Hawkeyes.

Jeff Bartl

Nebraska makes life easier for Wisconsin by losing this Friday game, clinching the Badgers’ trip to the Big Ten title game before they even play on Saturday. The Cornhuskers don’t even know who will be playing quarterback, and Iowa is going to take full advantage.

Jonathan Bass

I’ll take Iowa at Kinnick. Lord only knows who’ll be under center for the Cornhuskers, and the Hawkeyes’ defense has really stepped up since being shellacked by Penn State. Iowa wins fairly easily in front of the home crowd.

Dave Miller

The Cornhuskers need to beat the Hawkeyes and have Wisconsin lose to Minnesota the next day in order to play for the Big Ten title. The problem is that both Tommy Armstrong Jr. and Ryker Fyfe are banged up, so Mike Riley may have a major issue at quarterback. If neither Armstrong nor Fyfe can play, wide receiver Zack Darlington could start at quarterback. He was a dual-threat quarterback in high school, but asking him to beat Iowa, especially on the road, is expecting a lot. The Hawkeyes defense and crowd at Kinnick Stadium will carry Kirk Ferentz’s squad to victory, knocking the Huskers out of the West division race.

Brian Stultz

Nebraska doesn’t have a quarterback, Iowa isn’t as bad as everyone thinks, and the Hawkeyes are playing quite well right now. I think that continues as Kirk Ferentz laughs in the faces of all the people who mocked him following the loss to North Dakota State earlier in the season.
