Top Alabama DT Recruit Neil Farrell Commits To LSU Tigers

The LSU Tigers added the state of Alabama’s No. 1 DT recruit, Neil Farrell, to their 2017 class.

Les Miles plucked the No. 1 defensive tackle out of Alabama on Tuesday night when Neil Farrell, a 3-star prospect from Mobile, committed to the LSU Tigers.

Farrell announced his commitment in a Tigers shirt on Twitter.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 293 pounds, Farrell is the second defensive tackle to commit in LSU’s 2017 recruiting class. He joins Tyler Shelvin, a four-star prospect and the nation’s No. 6 defensive tackle.

He’s the 18th commit total for the Tigers in 2017 and third in a span of four days, joining Seth Stewart and Kary Vincent Jr., the latter of whom announced via an exclusive video with Campus Insiders.

LSU currently sits at No. 6 in the team recruiting rankings.
