No. 1-128 College Football Rankings – Week 7

Campus Insiders’ 1-128 college football rankings heading into Week 7 of the season. After another week of action, a look at how all 128 teams grade out.

Another week, another shakeup in the rankings.

Houston, which was the favorite to claim the Group of Five’s automatic New Year’s Six spot, slipped up on the road against Navy and now must focus on getting back into its AAC race. The Cougars will need a lot of help just to even play for the league title now, although there is still plenty of football yet to be played.

Meanwhile, traditional powers Notre Dame and Texas continue to slide down the rankings after losses on Saturday. The Fighting Irish may not even be able to make the postseason, as their schedule picks up in difficulty over the second half of the year. Are there even six wins on the ND schedule? As for the Longhorns, questions continue to arise regarding Charlie Strong’s job status in Austin.

Where does your favorite team stack up this week in the new rankings?

NOTE: I will make the necessary tweaks to these rankings following Sunday’s Charlotte-FAU and Georgia-South Carolina games.
