No. 1-128 College Football Rankings – Week 9

Campus Insiders’ 1-128 college football rankings heading into Week 9 of the season. As we head deeper into the season, a look at how all 128 FBS teams grade out.

Another week, another win for top-ranked Alabama.

The Crimson Tide registered five sacks on Texas A&M quarterback Trevor Knight, who was part of Oklahoma’s Sugar Bowl upset of ‘Bama as a redshirt freshman a few years ago. There would be no upset on Saturday, and there would be no 348-yard, four-touchdown performance from Knight. He was held to 164 yards through the air and 24 on the ground in the loss. So, it’s another week with ‘Bama on top of the rankings.

Meanwhile, Houston’s New Year’s Six bowl dreams died in Dallas, as SMU upset the Cougars in an AAC matchup. Keep an eye on Boise State, Navy and Western Michigan for that automatic NY6 bid.
