Defensive tackle Bryan Bresee, the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2020 recruiting class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, committed to Clemson on Tuesday afternoon.
Bresee, a 6-5, 290-pound recruit from Damascus (Md.) High School, chose the defending national champion Tigers over Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.
He ranks as the No. 15 prospect of all-time, according to the 247Sports Composite database.
Clemson was believed to be the heavy favorite with the Tigers receiving 96 percent of the votes in Bresee’s crystal ball predictions, according to 247Sports.
He has ran a 40-yard dash of 5.24 seconds with a shuttle run of 4.21 seconds. Bresee’s vertical jump has been measured at just over 31 inches.
According to 247Sports Director of Scouting Barton Simmons, Bresee compares to Ndamukong Suh, and Simmons projects Bresee to be a future first-round pick in the NFL Draft.
Clemson now has the No. 1 2020 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, headlined by Bresee, along with 11 four-star recruits.
