3-Star CB Noah Daniels Commits To TCU Horned Frogs

Three-star cornerback Noah Daniels committed to TCU on Sunday, giving the Horned Frogs 10 total commits in their 2017 recruiting class.

Gary Patterson’s Horned Frogs have hit double digits on the recruiting trail.

They picked up their 10th commitment of the 2017 recruiting class on Sunday when 3-star cornerback Noah Daniels committed to TCU.

Daniels, from League City, Texas, originally committed to Baylor on July 20 but backed off his pledge to the Bears on Nov. 27.

The 6-foot, 180-pound cornerback released a statement regarding his decision to pledge to the Horned Frogs.

“This has been a challenging period for me, as I decided to narrow down my choices and make my final college decision. I understood that this was going to be a difficult time as my choices became exponentially more difficult. Oklahoma, TCU, Utah, and many others all offered me great opportunities to excel in their program on and off the field, but it was hard picking one to finally settle on.

I finally decided to pick the school where I could best succeed as a student and as an athlete. I am at a point in my life in which I find it necessary to evolve as a man as well and move to a community where my contributions will be valued, and where I will have the greatest personal growth.

With this in mind, I have decided to commit to the TCU Horned Frogs.

Since I was a child, I have always wanted to stay in Texas and play for TCU. I feel as though I am a great fit in their defense and TCU is simply where I need to be for the next three or four years.

Thank you to all of my family, friends, teachers, coaches, and everyone else who made this possible. League City, Texas and Clear Creek High School truly helped shape me into the Athlete I am today. I could not have made this decision without all of those who supported me. I will miss Galveston County and the bonds I formed with my teammates, friends, and coaches. We have built something special, and I hope to see it continue while I am gone.

Go Frogs!”

With the addition of Daniels, TCU moves up from No. 47 to No. 45 in the 2017 recruiting class rankings, but it may be moving up once again fairly soon.

Three-star defensive tackle James Lynch, a former TCU commit, decommitted from USC on Sunday, and the Horned Frogs are in position to add him back into their class. If they did, they’d move up to No. 39 in the rankings.
