Pac-12 Football Rankings – Week 6

Pac-12 football rankings heading into Week 5 of the 2016 season. Washington’s dominating win over Stanford makes it the clear team to beat in the conference.

I don’t think anyone saw that coming.

The first of three top-10 matchups of the weekend was no contest, as Washington left no question as to which team is the top dog in the Pac-12 by crushing Stanford 44-6 on Friday night. The Huskies put themselves on the national map with the win, but they can’t let up with a visit to Oregon coming up.

Here’s a look at how the rest of the Pac-12 stands after five weeks.

Week 6 Pac-12 Football Rankings

12. Oregon State

No match for Colorado in a 47-6 loss.

11. Arizona

Back-to-back losses have the Wildcats at 2-3

10. Washington State

Took down Oregon to get to 2-2.

9. California

Who says Cal can’t stop anyone? The Golden Bears made a huge goal-line stand in the final seconds to beat No. 18 Utah, 28-23.

8. Oregon

Make that three straight losses for the Ducks after falling to Washington State.

7. Arizona State

The Sun Devils scored their fewest points of the season in their first loss, 41-20 at USC.

6. USC

Snapped a two-game skid with the win over Arizona State.

5. Colorado

Didn’t get much of a challenge from Oregon State.

Had the Bruins, who beat Arizona this week, been able to win that overtime game at Texas A&M or hang on to beat Stanford, they’d be in a much better spot.

3. Utah

Had three plays from the two yard line in the final 14 seconds and couldn’t punch it in. Not a good loss at Cal.

2. Stanford

Friday night was a nightmare rarely seen by David Shaw’s team. The injury-ravaged team couldn’t keep pace with Washington.

1. Washington

Arguably the biggest statement win of the weekend was Washington’s dismantling of Stanford in Seattle.
