SEC Football Standings – Week 11

SEC football standings for Week 11 of the season. The Florida Gators are still in control of their own destiny after falling to Arkansas.

The SEC West is still in the firm grasp of Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide. On Saturday, Alabama went toe-to-toe with LSU and took down Ed Orgeron’s Tigers, 10-0, in Baton Rouge.

Meanwhile, Auburn stepped into the No. 2 spot behind the Tide. Gus Malzahn’s Tigers beat Vanderbilt, 23-16, and got some help when Texas A&M fell on the road at Mississippi State, 35-28.

As far as the SEC East is concerned, control still belongs to the Florida Gators. Jim McElwain’s team went on the road to Arkansas and lost, 31-10. Kentucky had a shot to seize control of the division with a win, but the Wildcats fell to Georgia, 27-24. The Bulldogs are now in third place.

Tennessee, which started out as the favorite to win the division, is now in fifth place and is coming off a 55-0 win over Tennessee Tech. The Vols are sitting one spot behind that pesky Will Muschamp, whom they can never seem to beat. South Carolina took down Missouri, 31-21.

However, there could be some massive shake-ups coming next weekend. Florida will host Muschamp’s Gamecocks, Kentucky will visit Tennessee, and Georgia will host Auburn.
