Stanford vs. Oregon Prediction Roundtable – What’s Going To Happen

Stanford vs. Oregon prediction roundtable with the Campus Insiders staff. Breaking down what will happen during Saturday’s Pac-12 North game between the Cardinal and Ducks.

Jeff Bartl

I’m a closet Pac-12 fan – which I don’t like to admit much because the conference usually tends to disappoint as a whole – so I was looking forward to this game when the preseason schedule was released. And true to Pac-12 form, both teams have disappointed. Since I’ve actually seen a game in Eugene, I guess give me Justin Herbert, Royce Freeman and Co., to pull out a victory for the Ducks in a matchup I wished carried more significance.

Robert Judin

Justin Herbert has really impressed me, and he’s going to have a huge game against Stanford. Herbert will throw for at least 250 yards with a few touchdowns. He’ll hook up with Tony Brooks-James for a score, and the Oregon tailback will also find his way into the end zone on the ground. Royce Freeman will do the same. Christian McCaffrey will be his usual self, but the Ducks will take this one in a nail biter, 35-31.

Dave Miller

Remember when this game was the class of the Pac-12 schedule each and every season? These aren’t your older brother’s Cardinal and Ducks, but Stanford and Oregon are playing better football as of late. However, the Ducks’ poor defense reared its ugly head once again last week in a loss to USC. Keller Chryst needs to spark the Stanford passing attack, but the Cardinal should have no problem running the football. Justin Herbert is the real deal at quarterback for the Ducks, but he will make a couple of mistakes against the No. 15 scoring defense in the country as Stanford claims a victory in a Pac-12 North clash.

Brian Stultz

It is the game that was totally supposed to be important but isn’t to anyone outside of Palo Alto, Eugene, and a certain office in the Campus Insiders building. When in doubt, go with the mascot you like best, and that is the Stanford Tree. Cardinal win.
