4-Star WR Tamorrion Terry Commits To Florida State Seminoles

Four-star wide receiver Tamorrion Terry committed to Florida State with his teammate, cornerback Ontario Wilson, giving the Seminoles 20 total commits in the 2017 recruiting class.

The tribe continues to grow for Florida State’s 2017 recruiting class, as the Seminoles added two more pieces to the puzzle on Thursday afternoon.

Four-star recruit Tamorrion Terry and his teammate, unranked cornerback Ontario Wilson, committed to Florida State. The ‘Noles now have 20 total commits in the cycle but still sit at No. 7 in the 2017 recruiting class rankings.

“I talked to [head coach] Jimbo [Fisher], [wide receivers] Coach [Lawrence] Dawsey and [defensive backs] Coach [and area recruiter Charles] Kelly,” Terry told 247Sports. “They had offered me, but I went ahead and committed today.”

At 6-foot-4, 205 pounds Terry is a home run threat in the passing game. He creates separation easily off the line of scrimmage, stretches the field vertically, and high points the football consistently. With his size and toughness, Terry will be a welcomed addition for the FSU offense and could quickly become a go-to target for quarterback Deondre Francois.

FSU will pair Terry with 4-star wide receiver D.J. Matthews, who’s been committed to Jimbo Fisher’s staff since July 17, 2014. Matthews has some of the best route running skills in the country and will be a nice complement with Terry.

As for Wilson, he stands at 5-foot-11, 178 pounds and will join a group of defensive backs headlined by 5-star cornerback Stanford Samuels III. It also includes 4-star safety Cyrus Fagan.

The Seminoles likely aren’t done, as they’re competing for 5-star defensive tackle Marvin Wilson, 4-star defensive end Jarez Parks and a few others in the roughly two weeks remaining before National Signing Day.
