TCU vs. Baylor Prediction Roundtable – What’s Going to Happen

TCU vs. Baylor prediction roundtable with the Campus Insiders staff. Breaking down what will happen during Saturday’s Big 12 game between the Horned Frogs and Bears.

Jeff Bartl

Baylor’s loss last week eliminated any suspense of the Big 12 getting a team in the College Football Playoff, if there even was any suspense to begin with. This game will have some drama and good offense, per usual for when these two team meet. I’m going with Seth Russell and the Bears to deal TCU yet another defeat with a late score.

Umm. So, Baylor lost last week. That happened, right? I’m not imagining that it actually fell to Texas? For a second consecutive year? Regardless, I can’t see Baylor losing back-to-back games — especially with TCU up next. The Horned Frogs are pretty banged up, and it’s not like they can stop Seth Russell, who passed concussion protocol by the way. The only chance TCU had was for Russell to be held out, but he’s in, and Baylor will win.

Dave Miller

Baylor dropped its first game of the season last week against Texas, so which team is going to show up on Saturday? Expect the Bears to get back to their winning ways because they did not put forth their best effort against the Longhorns. TCU has underwhelmed all season on both sides of the ball, so look for the Baylor offense to overwhelm the Horned Frogs over the course of the game. Whether or not the Horned Frogs start Kenny Hill or Foster Sawyer at quarterback won’t matter, as Gary Patterson’s squad won’t be able to keep up with the Bears.

Brian Stultz

TCU has been a disappointment this season, and I blame it all on my colleague Sam Falcone, who before the season asked if Gary Patterson getting a contract extension was a big deal. It’s okay, he is a college basketball guy …and possibly my son? Stay tuned for that drama.

Baylor gets back in the win column with a romp over TCU.
