3-Star ATH Terrance Lang Commits To USC Trojans

Three-star athlete Terrance Lang committed to USC on Thursday, giving the Trojans 15 total commits in the 2017 recruiting class.

Clay Helton’s staff is heading into the holiday weekend on quite a positive note.

On Thursday, 3-star recruit Terrance Lang committed to USC despite holding additional offers from Arizona State, Cal, Oregon, Texas A&M, Washington State and others.

Lang, who’s from Pasadena, California, is ranked as the No. 33 athlete in the country and the No. 3 athlete in the state of California. He released a statement regarding his decision to pledge to the Trojans.

“This has been a long and enjoyable process, full of hard decisions. First, I’d like to thank God for putting me in the position that I am in today, and my family and coaches for always putting me in the best position to succeed. Lastly, I’d like to thank all of the coaches that have offered me scholarships for believing in me and giving me an opportunity. After a long talk with my family, I decided to commit to [the] University of Southern California.”

With the addition of Lang, USC now has 15 total commits. The Trojans picked up 108 recruiting points with Lang’s decision and moved up from No. 19 to No. 15 in the 2017 recruiting class rankings, passing Florida State, Colorado, Mississippi State and Washington in the process.

At 6-foot-7, 265 lbs Lang has the size, strength and power to play on either side of the ball. He fits in naturally as a tight end but can also serve as a reliable presence as an edge rusher.

He’s scheduled to spend an official visit at USC on Jan. 21 following the recruiting dead period.
