Texas Longhorns Offer 4-Star RB Eno Benjamin

Four-star running back Eno Benjamin notched an offer from the Texas Longhorns two days after telling Campus Insiders how he was hoping to land one from Tom Herman’s staff.

Be mindful of what you wish for, because you might just get it.

On Tuesday, 4-star recruit Eno Benjamin spoke with Campus Insiders and expressed his interest in becoming a Texas Longhorn despite the fact he grew up cheering for the Oklahoma Sooners.

Well, by Thursday morning, Benjamin had secured an offer from the Longhorns. The nation’s No. 10 running back and No. 106 overall player, a former Iowa commit, took to Twitter to celebrate his newest scholarship offer.

“[I’m] blessed to say I’ve received an offer from the University of Texas,” Benjamin said.

The 4-star tailback is from Wylie, Texas and believes he could be a part of what is already a program on the rise in Austin.

“That Texas program is on the rise, and it just needs a few more people to help it get there,” Benjamin told Campus Insiders prior to receiving his offer. “I’m a guy who seeks opportunity. And at Texas, I do see the opportunity to play early and follow some of the leaders who played at Texas, went to the NFL, and had great careers.”

Benjamin is scheduled to announce his decision on Jan. 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. If he were to commit to Texas, the Longhorns’ 2017 recruiting class would jump from No. 39 to No. 31 in the class rankings.
