When Is the 2019 College Football Playoff? Date, Location, Selection Day

The dates for the College Football Playoff selection process will culminate in the four-team playoff field being announced on Sunday, December 8.

The College Football Playoff Semifinals – the Peach Bowl and Fiesta Bowl this year – are on Saturday, December 28 and the national championship game is Monday, January 13.

This season’s College Football Playoff National Championship will be held in New Orleans.

The first College Football Playoff rankings for the 2019 season will be announced on Tuesday, November 5 and they’ll be announced each of the next four Tuesdays: November 12, November 19, November 26 and December 3.

Alabama will try to make its sixth consecutive College Football Playoff appearance. The Crimson Tide’s five playoff berths are the most nationally – one more than defending national champion Clemson, two more than Oklahoma and three more than Ohio State.

Notre Dame, Michigan State, Georgia, Florida State, Washington and Oregon have each made the playoff once.
