At least, that’s just how it feels right now for every SEC team not named Alabama, as Nick Saban’s squad destroyed Tennessee in Knoxville on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide now have 11 non-offensive touchdowns this season, including eight from their defense, to lead all FBS teams in both categories. It’s the clear-cut No. 1 team in the country, but a big test looms next week against Texas A&M.
Meanwhile, former major powers such as Michigan State and Notre Dame continue to tumble down the rankings, while Wisconsin is actually movin’ on up this week after a strong performance in an overtime loss to Ohio State in Madison.

8. Baylor (6-0) – Seth Russell threw two touchdowns and ran for two more in the first half, and Ryan Reid returned the first of his two interceptions for a score as the Bears remained unbeaten with a 49-7 win over Kansas.
7. Louisville (5-1) – The Cardinals didn’t look as sharp as we have seen this year in a Friday night win over Duke, but a win is a win. And Bobby Petrino’s squad remains a College Football Playoff contender.
6. Texas A&M (6-0) – The Aggies were off this week, so they had an extra week to rest up and prepare for Alabama in a crucial SEC West showdown next week.
5. Washington (6-0) – Chris Petersen’s Huskies host Oregon State next Saturday after enjoying an off week.
4. Clemson (7-0) – Deshaun Watson and the Tigers survived four turnovers, as Artavis Scott caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in overtime and Marcus Edmond finished it with an interception in the end zone in a 24-17 win over NC State.
3. Michigan (6-0) – The Wolverines had a bye this week, and their attention now turns to their home contest next week against Illinois.
2. Ohio State (6-0) – J.T. Barrett threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Noah Brown in overtime, and the Buckeyes sacked Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook on fourth-and-goal in overtime for a 30-23 win in Madison.
1. Alabama (7-0) – Jalen Hurts and Bo Scarbrough each rushed for over 100 yards, and the Crimson Tide once again received points from their defense and special teams in a 49-10 dismantling of Tennessee.
