North Carolina vs. Indiana Live Stream, TV Info

North Carolina vs. Indiana live stream and TV information for Friday’s Sweet 16 matchup.

The No. 1 seeded North Carolina Tar Heels will take on the No. 5 seed Indiana Hoosiers on Friday.

The Tar Heels (30-6) continue to roll in tournament play, having defeated the Providence Friars handily 85-66 on Saturday. Providence fought hard to keep it close early, but North Carolina went off for 51 points in the second half to put things away. The Heels were minus-four in the turnover battle, but did just about everything else well. UNC was plus-20 in rebounding margin, shot 52.5 percent from the floor and connected on 19 of their 21 free throws (90.5 percent).

It took all 40 minutes, but the Hoosiers (27-7) outlasted their blue blood rival, besting the Kentucky Wildcats 73-67 on Saturday. Indiana is now in its first Sweet 16 since back-to-back appearances in 2012-13. Against Kentucky, Indiana was unable to have success from downtown as it is usually accustom to (28.6 percent), but was 48.1 percent from the floor overall and was plus-three in the turnover battle.

Friday’s matchup marks the 14th between North Carolina and Indiana, with the Hoosiers holding an 8-5 edge. Indiana holds a 2-0 advantage in NCAA Tournament games, including a win in the 1981 National Championship game.

Prediction

Indiana has played with a lot of heart and have found ways to win games when their three-pointers aren’t falling, but they have a tall task ahead of them in the North Carolina. The Tar Heels will enforce their brand of basketball, dominate the glass and do just enough to irritate the Hoosier shooters. Indiana will hang tough, but North Carolina’s talent and depth will help them advance.
