    1. It was a rocky game for the Buckeyes, but it was still a shutout with Ezekiel Elliott running for three short scores and the D coming through with a fumble return for a touchdown from Vonn Bell.

    2. Both Ohio State quarterbacks played. Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett were a bit off, but they didn’t make any mistakes.

    3. Hawaii only managed 165 yards and turned it over four times, giving the Buckeyes too many easy chances. As rough as the game was for the Buckeyes, they didn’t turn it over.

    – Cardale Jones completed 12-of-18 passes for 111 yards, and J.T. Barrett completed 8-of-15 passes for 70 yards

    – Ezekiel Elliott ran 27 times for 101 yards and three touchdowns, and Braxton Miller ran eight times for 57 yards and caught two passes for 16 yards

    – In his first game back, Joey Bosa made two tackles

    Hawaii

    – Max Wittek completed 7-of-24 passes for 67 yards and two interceptions

    – Paul Harris led the Rainbow Warriors with 46 yards on 14 carries

    – The defense came up with two sacks and six tackles for loss
