Oklahoma vs. Texas prediction, online live stream and TV broadcast information for Saturday’s game.

The No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners will travel to Austin, Texas to take on the No. 25 Texas Longhorns Saturday in the newest edition of the Red River Rivalry.

The Sooners (22-5, 10-5 Big 12) won their second game in a row Wednesday night as they knocked off in-state rival Oklahoma State, 71-49. Oklahoma faced an eight-point deficit early, but it rallied to take a 27-24 lead into halftime. The Sooners really put their foot on the gas in the second half as they used an 18-1 run to create some separation and cruised to the big victory. Rebounding and turnovers helped Oklahoma in the win as the Sooners had the advantage on the boards (35-27) and forced 18 Cowboy turnovers. Buddy Hield had a relatively quiet night with 17 points on 5-of-15 shooting, but Ryan Spangler picked up the slack. Spangler posted a game-high 26 points and 14 rebounds, good for his 11th double-double of the season.

The Longhorns (18-10, 9-6 Big 12) rebounded from a tough loss to Baylor at home by squeaking by the Kansas State Wildcats Monday night. Facing a four-point deficit, Barry Brown knocked down a big three-pointer to pull Kansas State within a point. After Javan Felix missed the front end of a one-and-one, the Wildcats raced down the floor, and the ball ended up in the hands of Dean Wade. After a moment of indecision, he tossed up the game-winning three only for it to fall short as Texas held on for the 71-70 win. The Longhorns shot a solid 46.9 percent from the field and buried nine of 18 three-pointers on the night. Isaiah Taylor was the high man for Texas with 19 points and drilled all eight of his free throw attempts.

Saturday’s renewal of the Red River Rivalry will be the 89th meeting between Oklahoma and Texas on the hardwood. The Sooners have a 53-35 advantage all-time and took the previous meeting, 63-60 ,earlier this month when Buddy Hield buried the game-winning three in Norman.

    Prediction

The last matchup between these two teams needed some last-second magic from “Buddy Buckets”. This time around, that won’t be necessary.

Buddy Hield has shown a different element of his play during the Sooners’ recent two-game winning streak. Sure, he’ll always get his shots, but there has been a willingness to defer to his teammates at times and those teammates rising to the occasion. Ryan Spangler’s 26 points vs. Oklahoma State shows that. If the Sooners offense continues to be multi-faceted, it’ll make it extremely difficult for the Longhorns defense to get stops Saturday.

    Prediction: Oklahoma 76, Texas 69
