LeShun Daniels and Akrum Wadley: Hey, we exist.
Everyone else: Does anybody hear anything?
Daniels and Wadley: Yes, it’s one running back who rushed for over 1,000 yards and another who will hit that mark in the Outback Bowl.
Everyone else: Nah, we don’t hear anything.
    Daniels and Wadley: *Sigh*

Florida defense this, Florida defense that. The Gators have been struggling against the run and have been destroyed in their last two games. Daniels and Wadley lead Iowa to an upset win over Florida and its JV offense.

The Outback Bowl should carve Florida and Iowa’s logos in its trophy, given how many times they’ve played in this game. Iowa is well prepped for this Gators team, which resembles the most quintessential of Big Ten teams: powerful defense, anemic offense. C.J. Beathard throws only 15 passes, the Hawkeyes score a defensive touchdown and Iowa wins against an apathetic Gators unit bored to be in Tampa.

It really doesn’t matter if it’s Austin Appleby or Luke Del Rio taking the snaps in this one. Florida needs to do one thing on offense and one thing only: give Jordan Scarlett the rock. The talented sophomore tailback will get 20-plus carries and will go well over the 100-yard mark on the ground, which will coincidentally leave him just shy of the 1,000-yard mark for the season. The Gators, banged up as they are, will step up on defense and shut down Iowa to pick up Jim McElwain’s first bowl win with the program.

I would make a list of things I would rather do than watch this snooze fest, but there is only so much time in a life. The Florida offense will struggle while the Gators defense dominates and wins the game.

You know what I want to see? The Florida defense get upset at the offense and call them out. It isn’t acceptable for a Gators offense to be this bad. If I were Jalen Tabor or some other player that is sick and tired of carrying the load, I would get into the face of the offensive players and challenge them. Jim McElwain will be in another room wondering what type of grass the field is made of.
