Week 5 Pac-12 Football Picks And Spreads

Washington State at No. 24 California

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff:
 4:00 p.m. ET

Venue:
 California Memorial Stadium

If you like offense, this game is for you. Both teams play at a quick pace and use pass-heavy offenses to move the ball. Cal quarterback Jared Goff is one of the best in the nation, and he’s going up against a Cougars defense that has trouble through the air. The Golden Bears pull away to remain undefeated.

Pick: California
Spread: California -19

Arizona State at No. 7 UCLA

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff:
 7:30 p.m. ET

Venue:
 Rose Bowl

The Bruins look to stay unbeaten against the disappointing 2-2 Sun Devils as they battle in the Rose Bowl. Quarterback Jack Rosen led the attack last week as the Bruins went into Tucson and handled the Wildcats, 56-30. The Sun Devils backfield with quarterback Mike Bercovici and running back Demario Richard is dangerous, but not dangerous enough. UCLA executes for a double-digit win.

Pick: UCLA
Spread: UCLA -13.5

Oregon at Colorado

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff:
 10:00 p.m. ET

Venue:
 Folsom Field

No team west of the Mississippi River has been more disappointing than the Ducks this season. Last week Utah handed Oregon a humbling, 62-20 loss in Eugene. Colorado’s defense isn’t on the level of Utah’s or Michigan State’s so the Buffaloes are going to have to put points on the board, which isn’t going to be easy against an angry Oregon team. Ducks win easily.

Pick: Oregon
Spread: Oregon -8

Arizona at No. 18 Stanford

Date: Saturday, Oct. 3

Kickoff:
 10:30 p.m. ET

Venue:
 Stanford Stadium

After an opening season loss to Northwestern, Stanford has responded with three straight wins, including a resume-building victory over USC. The Wildcats will be able to put points on the board against the Cardinal defense, but it won’t be enough. Stanford continues to roll.

Pick: Stanford
Spread: Stanford -17.5
