For the first time since Week 9 of the 2002 season, Washington, Washington State and Colorado all find themselves ranked in the top 25 in what can only be described as a complete shake up of the Pac-12 power structure.
The Huskies faced their toughest test of the season last week, narrowly escaping Salt Lake City with a win over Utah. The Cougars got a come from behind victory in Corvalis against Oregon State, while the Buffaloes were on bye.
This week all three teams are back in action, as Colorado and Wazzu host struggling UCLA and Arizona, respectively. Josh Rosen is likely out for the rest of the season, which is good news for a Buffaloes team looking to snap a five-game losing streak to the Bruins.
Arizona is the only team without a conference win this season, and Luke Falk and Co. will be licking their chops as they go against a defense that has allowed almost 40 points per game in conference play.
Washington figures to have an easier time this when it travels to Berkley in a game that’s sure to be a shootout. The Huskies will look to avenge their loss to Jared Goff and the Golden Bears last season, as they continue their march toward a potential playoff bearth.
