Pac-12 football rankings heading into Week 7 of the 2016 season. Washington remains the clear Pac-12 favorite and Stanford suffers another shocking loss.

Washington’s 12-game losing streak to Oregon ended in resounding fashion. The Huskies hung 70 points on the Ducks while putting the game out of reach by halftime, proving again they are the conference’s best team and its only shot at reaching the College Football Playoff.

The biggest stunner came in Palo Alto, though, as Washington State crushed Stanford – a result no one could’ve seen coming. The Cardinal have been beaten badly two straight weeks adding in the loss to the Huskies.

Here’s a look at the rest of the Pac-12 heading into Week 7.

    Week 7 Pac-12 Football Rankings

    12. Oregon State

Beat Cal, 47-44, in overtime. The Beavers led by 17 in the fourth quarter before blowing the lead, but they recovered to score a touchdown in OT to move to 1-1 in conference play.

    11. Arizona

Lost to Utah 36-23. The Wildcats dropped to 0-3 in Pac-12 play following a promising 2-1 start. They host USC next week.

    10. California

Cal dipped back to .500 with the overtime loss to Oregon State. The Golden Bears have followed the wins over Texas and Utah with tough losses and are about as inconsistent as they come.

    9. Oregon

The disappointment continues in Eugene following the 70-21 home loss to Washington. The Ducks haven’t been this bad in years, and coach Mike Helfrich is definitely on the hot seat.

    8. UCLA

Lost 23-20 to Arizona State. The Bruins are just 3-3 in a season which they entered having high expectations with quarterback Josh Rosen, who left the game early with an injury.

    7. Washington State

The Cougars pulled off the weekend’s biggest shocker in the Pac-12, routing Stanford 42-16 on the road. They’ve won three in a row heading into next week’s matchup with UCLA.

    6. Colorado

The Buffaloes can say goodbye to their No. 21 ranking after losing to USC, 21-17. Steven Montez started again, but Sefo Liufau could get the nod next week against Arizona State.

    5. Arizona State

The Sun Devils are 5-1 after the 23-20 win over UCLA. They did it with a season-low 275 yards of total offense while the defense forced four turnovers.

    4. USC

The Trojans are one of the better .500 teams in the country after knocking off Colorado. Their schedule has been tough, but they shouldn’t have much trouble with Arizona next week.

    3. Stanford

The Cardinal have been outscored 86-22 by the Washington schools the past two weeks. They’ve gone from being in line for a spot in the College Football Playoff to needing a big performance at Notre Dame, another of the nation’s bigger disappointments.

    2. Utah

The Utes are tough loss to Cal from being undefeated after six games. They travel to Oregon State next week.

    1. Washington

The Huskies clearly are the Pac-12’s best team and are looking like a College Football Playoff contender. They’ll have a week off before facing Oregon State.
