2015 Alabama Crimson Tide schedule predictions for each game. Nick Saban and the Tide once again have their sights set on a championship.
After back-to-back national titles in 2011 and 2012,
the last two seasons for Alabama have ended in disappointment.
Now the Crimson Tide must find a replacement for both
quarterback Blake Sims and Heisman finalist Amari Cooper. The good news? There’s never a shortage of talent in Tuscaloosa, but you knew that.
Despite the offensive turnover, it’s another championship-or-bust season for Alabama. But can the Tide navigate to the College Football Playoff again?
Without further ado, below are the 2015 Alabama Crimson Tide schedule predictions.
Just like Alabama, Wisconsin must replace a Heisman finalist
in running back Melvin Gordon. It will be power vs. power as the Wisconsin
running game faces the vaunted Alabama front seven, led by inside linebacker
Reggie Ragland. The Tide rushing attack, featuring Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake, is as explosive as Wisconsin’s. With an entire offseason to prepare, which
coach would you take: Nick Saban or Paul Chryst? I thought so.
Prediction: Alabama 35 – Wisconsin 20
After a tough opener, the Tide will get a Saturday to pound the visiting Blue Raiders. Look for the defense to toss a shutout, the
rushing attack to run wild, and an all-out rout.
Prediction: Alabama 56 – Middle Tennessee State 0
After upsetting the Crimson Tide in Oxford last year, the
Rebels will enter Tuscaloosa with a solid defense but unproven offense. If
Jake Coker has solidified the quarterback position and found some receivers,
Alabama wins easily. Saban doesn’t like losing to a team twice in a row.
Prediction: Alabama 31 – Ole Miss 14
Can the Warhawks turn back the clock to 2007 and pull
another upset in Tuscaloosa? No, they can’t. This is a game where the Tide
could be looking forward to the huge matchup against Georgia, but too much
talent will win the day.
Prediction: Alabama 51 – Louisiana-Monroe 10
In what could be a preview of the SEC Championship Game, the
Tide travels to Athens to take on Nick Chubb and the
Dawgs. Coach Mark Richt should have his quarterback situation solved by this game,
and the Georgia defense will be solid behind linebackers Leonard Floyd and Jordan
Jenkins. If this is Georgia’s year, the Dawgs pull out the win.
Prediction: Georgia 28 – Alabama 24
After the battle against Georgia, the big bruising
Razorbacks travel down to Tuscaloosa looking to pound the rock. Even with the loss of Jonathan Williams, Alex Collins and the other backs will challenge the Tide front seven. If the Hogs want to escape with a win,
it will be up to quarterback Brandon Allen to play well. In the end, Alabama makes a stand to bring home the W.
Prediction: Alabama 31 – Arkansas 24
A brutal stretch for the Crimson Tide continues with a trip to
College Station to face quarterback Kyle Allen and the Aggies. Texas A&M’s offense should put up points, but the defense is suspect. Expect a close
game as the Aggies remember the 59-0 beating Alabama put on them last year.
Prediction: Alabama 35 – Texas A&M 28
The Volunteers have not held up their part in this rivalry
lately, losing the last eight to the Crimson Tide. Tennessee enters the 2015 season with high expectations and talent to work with. Quarterback Joshua Dobbs has a solid receiving corp, and the Vols defense is led by a strong secondary, including
cornerback Cameron Sutton. Despite the strides Tennessee will make this season, the Vols won’t be able to buck the losing streak.
Prediction: Alabama 31 – Tennessee 20
Alabama gets a much-needed bye week before facing LSU. Given the hard-hitting history of this game, the extra rest will prove huge. As always, LSU has the talent and depth to compete with
anyone in the nation, but the Tigers need to find a quarterback. Expect a low-scoring
defensive affair that will be decided by special teams.
Prediction: Alabama 21 – LSU 13
Mississippi State landed in Tuscaloosa last year undefeated
and ranked No. 1 in the nation. The Bulldogs left with their first loss. Star quarterback Dak
Prescott is back for another campaign and could give the Tide defense fits, especially with 60,000 cowbells deafening the air.
Prediction: Mississippi State 28 – Alabama 24
A break before the all-important Iron Bowl, Alabama will
play plenty of reserves and give its starters some much-needed rest in a
blowout against the Buccaneers.
Prediction: Alabama 56 – Charleston Southern 3
The annual rivalry between these two teams has never been bigger than the last half decade. Once again, both teams have national championship aspirations and could enter the game with a shot at a title. The Tigers will have one of the most explosive offenses in the nation, and the defense should be light years better under new defensive coordinator Will Muschamp.
The game will never live up to the 2013 edition, but it’s always must-watch
television.
Prediction: Auburn 31 – Alabama 27
