Everything you need to know about the Utah vs. California online live stream and TV broadcast, as well as game notes and prediction.

The No. 5 Utah Utes will welcome the No. 23 California Golden Bears to Salt Lake City Saturday night for a matchup between two undefeated Pac-12 teams.

The Utes enter this one 4-0, which is their best start since 2010 when they won their first eight contests. With a bye week in week 5, the last time we saw Utah on the field was when it dismantled Oregon in Eugene, 62-20. The Utes hope to get the same production out of all three phases. The offense cooked behind QB Travis Wilson’s 5 total TDs and 327 total yards, while the defense forced three turnovers and held the high-flying Oregon offense to just 20 points. Utah’s special teams even joined the party as Boobie Hobbs returned a punt 69 yards to extend the Utes beatdown.

The Golden Bears are raising some eyebrows, as they are also undefeated this season, standing at 5-0 and led by a Heisman candidate in QB Jared Goff. Like Utah, California is also off to one of its best starts in school history dating back to when the 2007 team also went 5-0 to start its season. The Golden Bears topped Washington State last week, 34-28. Goff shined throwing for four touchdowns, which helped him to become California’s all-time leader in touchdown passes (68). Goff now holds 23 school-records in addition to touchdown passes.

These two squads haven’t met since 2012. Saturday’s matchup will be the 10th all-time. Utah is looking to win its second straight and tie the series, which Cal currently leads 5-4.

    Prediction

The Bears haven’t truly played a complete game since the Week 2 blowout of San Diego State. And it’ll require a complete game to defeat Utah in Salt Lake City. The Utes will lean on their usual blueprint for success, Booker, a stout D and the nation’s best special teams unit, to frustrate Goff and the Bears at the point of attack. Cal has traveled a long way under Dykes, but the program’s progress will suffer a slight detour Saturday night.

    Game Notes

    • Utah’s No. 5 AP ranking is its best position in any poll since Oct. 31, 2010, when the Utes were ranked No. 5 BCS.
    • Cal leads the nation with 18 turnovers gained that are three more than anyone else in the nation, while the Bears’ eight fumble recoveries tied for the most in the country and 10 interceptions tied for second.
    • Utah has allowed just one sack this season, which is tied for third in the nation and leads the Pac-12.
