The Preseason Coaches All-SEC Teams have been announced, and Alabama and LSU lead the pack with 13 representatives each.

If the 2016 Preseason Coaches All-SEC teams are any indication, this year will belong to Alabama and LSU, and everyone else is just fighting to get recognized. The Crimson Tide and Tigers both placed 13 players on the teams voted on by conference coaches, with eight teams having six or more.

The West division has a stranglehold on first team spots, with division players claiming 20 of the 26 positions. Mississippi State is the only team from the West not to have a player on the first team.

Two dynamite runners in Leonard Fournette and Nick Chubb take up the running back spots. Fournette enters the season as one of the favorites for the Heisman Trophy, while Chubb tries to regain his playing form after a horrific knee injury last October that caused him to miss the remainder of the season.

Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly will look to become the first Rebel to be named first team All-SEC postseason since Eli Manning, as the senior beat out Tennessee’s Joshua Dobbs for a spot on the preseason first team.

Texas A&M’s Myles Garrett, considered one of the top defensive linemen in the country, is joined by Alabama’s Jonathan Allen, Tennessee’s Derek Barnett, and Auburn’s Carl Lawson on the first team.

Out of the 13 Alabama players voted to the list, seven of them came in on the first team.
