    1. Purdue took control in the first quarter on two of Austin Appleby’s four touchdown passes. He found Cameron Posey for a 57-yard score, and then DeAngelo Yancey for a 50-yard touchdown
    2. Indiana State made it interesting on a 17-yard Gary Owens touchdown catch, and then Purdue pulled away with a Paul Griggs field goal and a 51-yard Dan Monteroso touchdown grab
    3. Matt Adam threw his second touchdown pass to pull ISU within ten in the third, but Purdue scored 14 unanswered points starting with a one-yard Markell Jones run and finishing with Appleby’s fourth touchdown pass.
