Why Charlotte Will Win

A Rice team that’s grown accustomed to playing in the postseason is having a tough time getting motivated for meaningless November games. The 49ers will seize the opportunity, exploiting a dreadful Owl defense with the tough running of West Virginia transfer Andrew Buie.

Why Rice Will Win

Charlotte hasn’t won a game since Week 2, routinely getting butchered on defense in its first year in Conference USA. The Owls will finally get a chance to spread their wings on offense, peppering the 49ers with Driphus Jackson’s passes and the ball-control of a deep stable of backs.

What’s Going To Happen?

While there’s not much motivation left in Houston, this will be the final home game for a successful group of seniors, like Jackson, who want to finish this miserable year on a positive tone. The Owl offense will be too much for a Charlotte D still operating and stocked like an FCS squad.
