The Virginia Cavaliers won their second ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship in the last three seasons with a 21-15 win on the road over Syracuse. This was UVA’s 19th ACC Lacrosse Championship in program history.

After three seasons at East Carolina, Jayden Gardner transferred to Virginia for the 2021-22 season where he become a Third-Team All-ACC player. Gardner was UVA's go-to player when they were in need of a basket, and he led the team with 15.3 points.
Reece Beekman took a big leap in his sophomore season at Virginia. Beekman was named to the 2022 All-ACC Defensive Team and was second in voting for the ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
In his redshirt-sophomore season, Kadin Shedrick stepped up into a larger role and became the leading big man on the Cavaliers' roster. After playing in just 11 games in 2020-21, Shedrick played in all 35 games in the 2021-22 season.
Coming from Virginia after two years at Indiana, Armaan Franklin was intricate to Virginia's success in the 2021-22 season. Franklin was the only player besides Jayden Gardner to average over 10.0 points per game in 2021-22 for the Cavaliers.
Kihei Clark entered his senior season as the last remaining player on the roster from Virginia's 2019-19 national championship team. Clark was the emotional and vocal leader on the court for the Cavaliers and the engine for their offense.
Jelani Woods made a name for himself after transferring to Virginia band becoming a First-Team All-ACC tight end in 2021, and he has continued to impress in his predraft workouts.
